Project P.E.A.R.L

We empower our communities by investing in local organizations, developing programs and partnerships to connect people and inspire change. On June 9th and 10th, twenty-seven Southern Arizona girls, ages 13 to 18, living in foster care, participated in Project P.E.A.R.L (Personal Empowerment to Achieve and Restore Life). The two-day personal empowerment workshop was facilitated by I am You 360 – an organization dedicated to boosting self-esteem, confidence, self-awareness, positive thinking, community compassion and improving school attendance for Arizona youth living in foster care. The workshop, held at the Donna Liggens Center, educated the girls on a variety of topics. Girls participated in self-esteem workshops, learned the importance of personal care and received 1:1 healthy cooking classes. Students also received information about Comcast’s low-cost internet service, Internet Essentials and participated in digital literacy training to help them stay safe online.

“Yes, a BIG THANK YOU to Comcast, I am You 360 and all the other volunteers involved!! The feedback from the girls was amazing!! We need more programs like this for our young women and young men! [I’m] so impressed with the work your program does!! We love you all very much!!” – Kerrie Thompson, Community Member
