Comcast Employees Show OUT at Tucson Pride
Outfitted with lights, beads, and rainbow flags, a Comcast convertible cruised through the 2017 Tucson Pride Festival parade September 29. Comcast employees, family, and friends walked alongside and handed out GloSticks to parade attendees.
Comcast also sponsored a booth the next day at Pride in the Park in Reid Park.
At Comcast NBCUniversal, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) offer opportunities for employees to develop themselves and to execute, at a grassroots level, important initiatives for the company.
“We were met with cheers and lots of applause, and the GloSticks were even seen in shop windows long after the parade ended. Everyone had a fantastic time as we shared a historic event together with our incredible Comcast family here in Tucson,” said Jack Wranesh, Supervisor, Comcast.
This year’s theme was “40 Years of Pride” reflecting how long the Tucson community has been coming together to support its LGBT members.
Thank you to everyone who organized and supported the Comcast parade and booth – we look forward to seeing you again next year!
