Comcast Recognized Locally and Nationally for Culture and Community Service
Comcast is being recognized locally and nationally as a top company to work for and an organization that is active in employee volunteerism and community engagement.
According to a survey of thousands of employees conducted by Fortune Magazine, Comcast NBCUniversal was recognized as 68th in the list of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in 2018. Comcast was also was named by LinkedIn as the 7th top company to work for in the nation this year.
At the local level, Comcast Tucson was recognized as the Best Volunteer Force at the 2018 Arizona Daily Star Readers’ Choice Awards.
“We have an employee-led engagement team that has produced several world-class events such as Tucson’s Got Talent, Game Show activities and Monthly Town hall meetings where we provide monthly recognition & rewards to our superstars,” said Mike Eastman, Vice President of Customer Service Strategy and Operations, on the Tucson team’s creativity in engaging with the community.
Comcast’s commitment to community service has also had a visible impact on the Tucson community, including events and service days that provide employees with the opportunity to spend time serving nonprofit partners. During the annual Comcast Cares Day service day, Comcast Tucson employees have served the YMCA, The Girl scouts, Marana Unified School District, I am You 360, The Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind, The Veterans Hospital and Prince Elementary School.
“Comcast Cares Day is our formal day of Companywide Volunteerism and it is my favorite day of the year,” Eastman said. “It gives our employees a great sense of pride to know that our time and elbow grease can make a huge difference to a citizen in the community that we serve and live in.”
