Overflowing With Pride

This year marked Comcast’s fourth year participating in the Tucson Pride Festival and Parade, which happened on September 29. Comcast’s participation was organized by OUT at Comcast Employee Resource Group members, whose mission is to connect LGBTQ employees and straight allies by contributing to a workplace environment that is aware, inclusive and productive for all.

Led by Kermit the Convertible and followed by the Comcast van, Comcasters overflowed with pride and made all the observers ecstatic by giving out hundreds of rainbow rubber ducky keychains, snap pride bracelets, and much-needed fans to help keep them cool during the parade. The route ended at Reid Park, the site of the PRIDE Festival. Once there, OUT at Comcast members greeted festivalgoers with more swag, including dozens of pairs of rainbow sunglasses.

“It was truly the Year of the Ally, with many Comcast participants and visitors to the booth making sure to tell us how happy they were to see us there on site and supportive of the cause for equality, said Jack Wranesh, Customer Experience Supervisor and OUT at Comcast Regional Lead.”

Comcast is proud to support the Tucson Pride Festival and Parade.
