A Community of Support on Comcast Cares Day

A large group of Comcast Cares Day volunteers.

Hundreds of Comcast employees, families and friends, and members of the community volunteered their time during Comcast Cares Day in southern Arizona doing a variety of cleaning, organizing, and general beautification work as part of our annual day of service.

We partnered with around 10 community organizations across southern Arizona with volunteers working at project sites including, Marana Middle School, Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson, Community Food Bank of Arizona, Harelson Elementary School and others. These projects are part of many events around the world celebrating Comcast NBCUniversal’s commitment to giving back each and every day of the year.

Our southern Arizona volunteers joined more than 100,000 of our Comcast NBCUniversal employees, their families and friends, and local partners who are making a positive impact this year in 23 countries around the world, doing everything from assembling care packages for U.S. service members to tree planting in areas struck by natural disasters to teaching digital literacy.

Comcast Cares Day is special for all of us—here’s a snapshot of what our southern Arizona community partners had to say:

“Many thanks to the amazing volunteers from Comcast Tucson for making a difference in the lives of kids coping with serious illness by supporting Beads of Courage on #ComcastCaresDay!” – Beads of Courage

“Thank you to Comcast Tucson for volunteering for our My Summer Library at Walter Douglas Elementary for their #Comcastcaresday!  My Summer Library provides 12 FREE books for every student at 14 schools throughout Tucson to promote a love of reading & learning all summer long.” – United Way of Tucson
